Getting to Lecce

Whether arriving by air at Brindisi airport or by train at Lecce train station, we’ll come and meet you there.

From London
By Air: London Stansted Airport www.ryanair.com
Ryan Air fly directly to Brindisi airport from London Stansted. It’s an excellent service taking just under 3 hours. When you book in advance you can usually find fantastic deals. There are also flights to Stansted from Bari which coincide with the return from the 4 night Short Cook Break.

From Milan
By Air: Milan Linate Airport
There are direct flight services from Milan Linate to Brindisi with the following airlines:

Volareweb.com, a low cost airline which you can book on-line www.volareweb.com
AirOne: www.flyairone.it/en/
Alitalia: www.alitalia.com Alitalia also fly directly from Milan Malpensa airport.

By Rail: www.trenitalia.com
Although a little long, there is a direct train service from Milan Central Station to Lecce. The Euro Star service takes approximately 9½ hours. However, I’ve often taken the overnight InterCity Notte (ICN) which is a couple of hours longer but you can sleep the journey away overnight if you manage to book a couchette or a cabin, often the best way especially if there’s more than one of you. Both these options can easily be booked on-line.

From Rome
By air: There are direct flights to Brindisi from Rome Fiumicino airport with Alitalia but we recommend that you let the train take the strain.

By Rail: www.trenitalia.com
There is a good direct train service from Rome Termini Station easily booked on-line. The ideal would be the Euro Star which takes just over 6 hours, leaving just before 2pm and arriving at Lecce at about 8pm.

Our guests from America and beyond usually find that flying into Rome then taking the train to Lecce is the most convenient way to get here , but please, ask your travel agent for advice.

If anyone is considering driving down – we’ll be happy to send you the instructions.
